Here Comes The Bride...

Basketball season is just a few months away, but the only thing that comes to most of our minds when we think of the Lakers right now is Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian’s wedding this weekend! To most people, this seemed like a shotgun wedding, but what do they know right? Maybe they really are in love and it didn’t need to take them years of dating to figure it out. Even then, if it doesn’t work out, that’s a whole other blog. This one is about THE wedding. Official pictures haven’t come out yet of this lovely quickie wedding of this union of basketball stardom and Kardashian sister, but we were able to snag a few that have surfaced the internet.

The bride was a lovely vision in white wearing a Vera Wang strapless gown paired with what seems to be a periwinkle colored sash cinching the waist of her newly fabulous reinvented self (as if she wasn’t already fabulous enough). How pretty does the youngest Kardashian sister look on her big day?!

Bridesmaids consisted of sisters Kourtney, Kim, Kylie, and Kendall as well as a few other friends, who seemed to be wearing dresses that matched the very same color of Khloe’s sash. The ladies were looking equally as stunning in their figure hugging, mermaid finish, floor length gowns.

Groom stood tall and handsome in a tuxedo and sleek black tie. Guests in attendance were of course the family, the regular cast of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and Lamar Odom’s fellow Lakers teammate, Kobe Bryant with wife, Vanessa Bryant alongside. Also in attendance was Lakers head coach Phil Jackson. It seemed like quite a star studdedhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif wedding and everyone who came out to celebrate with the couple included Ryan Seacrest, Babyface (who also sang at the wedding), Kelly Osbourne, cheetah girl Adrienne Bailon, and many more.

Last night was the first results show for Season 9 of Dancing With The Stars. One female star and one male star had to be eliminated –RESULTS: Macy Gray and Ashley Hamilton were both sent home. It was a very easy elimination to predict this time around since both ’stars’ were just not cutting it (sorry Macy and Ashley).

Macy was the obvious ‘loser’ for this week…she didn’t even seem excited to be there. I definitely agreed on her elimination.

The dance tribute to Patrick Swayze was amazing. First, Chelsie and Dmitry dance to “She’s Like the Wind.” Anna T. and Jonathan start their segment evoking the pottery scene from Ghost, dancing to “Unchained Melody.” And of course, my favorite- Cheryl and Tony re-enact the last dance from Dirty Dancing, to “I’ve Had the Time of My Life.” It was very sweet. Rest in peace Patrick.

My absolute favorite dancing 'star' is Kelly Osbourne. She totally kicked some butt and looked beautiful and so incredibly happy. She better win the trophy! After Kelly performed an amazing dance she ran over to her father, Ozzy Osborne to get some love while mom was in tears. It'll be exciting to see who will be eliminated next week! Stay tuned!

Dancing With The Stars is back!

Last night was GREAT because “Dancing with the Stars” is finally back! The season premiere which aired last night was bigger than ever with 16 contestants hoping for the coveted Mirrorball trophy. Season 9’s first week’s competition is split into two parts. Last night the men competed against one another and tonight the women will show off their stuff.

After Monday’s competition it seems like Aaron Carter and dance partner Karina Smirnoff took the lead and very close behind them was Donny Osmond with his beautiful Aussie partner Kym Johnson. And to his credit, Donny was quite the performer. Not surprisingly, he had tons of female fans in the audience.

Tied for last place was NFL hall of famer Michael Irvin and Ashley Hamilton (son of the “tan man” (and former “DWTS” competitor George). While voters typically respond to against-the-odds stories like Ashley’s recovery from a devastating motorcycle accident, it's hard to tell if that'll be enough to save the younger Hamilton from being eliminated this week. I wanted him to do better but he needs a lot of work! Michael Irvin had the same point total, but “DWTS” voters love their sports stars. Good luck guys!!

This past weekend we had a couple Sunset Tan birthdays to celebrate. The celebration took place at Michael Mina's XIV Restaurant in West Hollywood. The party was held in the outdoor covered bar area where we ate delicious appetizers, had some drinks, and listened to some great music. A couple weekends ago we flew our winner, Larry Browder from Savannah, Georgia to Hollywood, CA to meet the cast of Sunset Tan. Larry was thrilled to be the winner out of thousands of other fans who entered this contest. We couldn't have been happier with our winner. He was a great sport and loved every minute of his 'Hollywood' trip. Last weekend was action packed during the Miss Sunset Tan 2009 Swimwear Pageant at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. We are happy to present Miss Hillary Fisher from Charleston, South Carolina as the new Miss Sunset Tan 2009. Saturday afternoon (7-25-09) was the preliminary competition where 30 gorgeous ladies had to strut their stuff for over 25 celebrity judges and sponsors, and of course, hundreds of poolside guests. Later that evening, partygoers made their way to the Palms Pool as the pool served as the official Kandy Vegas playground, transforming into a massive ultra-lounge for the Kandy Vegas Lingerie Ball. The evening featured a unique poolside performance by Grammy award-winning artist, Snoop Dogg. On Sunday, Hillary Fisher was crowned the new Miss Sunset Tan 2009. Pastry chef wins Miss Sunset Tan 2009 at the Palms Hotel

First there was 30, and then 20. Then they were cut down to 10 finalists, and it wound up with 28-year-old pastry chef Hillary Fisher from Charleston, S.C., being crowned Miss Sunset Tan 2009 at the second annual swimsuit pageant at the Palms.

Seconds after she won, Hillary told me: “I didn’t think I’d even get into the Top 10. There were just so many beautiful women competing. I never guessed I’d go all the way and win. I’m speechless. I’ve never been this excited in my life, and it’s been a longtime dream finally coming true.”

Hillary is a specialty cake baker who runs her catering service from home. Now she will move her business to Las Vegas as she takes on the role of official spokesmodel for Sunset Tan, which has a tanning salon here at the Palms Place. Hillary also will be seen in Season 3 of E!’s Sunset Tan. I served as one of the judges for the pageant, which was filmed as Season 3’s premiere in September.

Hillary was previously one of Playboy’s Top 10 models and was a candidate for the magazine’s Model of the Year.

It's first inaugural flight from San Francisco to Orange County was celebrated with a surf-band send off at San Francisco, WiFi streamed interviews in-flight, and a “beach-meets-runway” red carpet welcome at John Wayne airport in Orange County. Upon touchdown of the new Virgin America Airbus A319, the first commercial guests, along with Cush and Virgin Group Founder and President Sir Richard Branson, were greeted by airport officials and an unofficial Orange County welcoming committee, including the cast of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and Redbull athletes. It was the exclusive tarmac event, with a menu prepared by Joie de Vivre’s Shorebreak Hotel Zimzala chef Vincent Muraco and VeeV, KARMA California Brut, Redbull and SkinnyGirl cocktails. Bare Escentuals makeovers and of course SUNSET TAN spray tans!
